Can someone with an eating disorder purchase a Holifya plan?
Those with eating disorders should always consult their trusted doctor or specialist before purchasing a Holifya plan. This does not mean that the test may cause harm, but the nutrigenetic advice may need to be interpreted by a healthcare professional who is aware of the individual’s clinical background.
Can someone who is already on a diet buy a Holifya plan?
The results of the DNA test are valuable allies for those following a diet. All Holifya tests are excellent companions to integrate into a journey already initiated with a healthcare specialist.
Can someone who is already following a mindfulness/yoga path purchase a Holifya plan?
The results of the DNA test are excellent allies for those engaged in mindfulness or yoga practices. They can be shared with the professionals and experts guiding you on this journey to gain a more comprehensive understanding focused on the actual needs of your body.
The test
Is the test safe?
The test is safe, non-invasive and does not involve any type of risk.
Can pregnant women take the test?
Yes, pregnant women can take the test. The sample results refer only to the woman who took her genetic sample and do not provide any kind of feedback for the fetus.
Does the test have an expiration date?
No, the test results remain valid, so the tests does not need to be repeated at a later date.
Who performs the sample analysis?
The analyses are performed by Holifya's partner laboratory BMR Genomics.
What do I receive at home?
At the beginning of each journey, you will receive a kit at home containing the swab to perform self-collection.
How do I perform a self-sampling?
Preparation:
- For 1 hour before the test, make sure you do not: eat; chew gum; smoke; brush your teeth; or drink (except water).
- Wash your hands thoroughly before opening the test tube and wear disposable gloves.
- Open the bag, then hold the plastic tube with one hand and using your thumb, push the top of the cap to make it easier to open.
Self pickup:
- Insert the swab into your mouth, above your tongue, and moisten it with saliva.
- Close your mouth and hold the swap in place for 10 seconds.
- To improve the sampling, use your index and middle fingers to press the swab against the inside of your cheek.
- Move the swab to one side of your mouth and rub it vigorously 10 times against the inside of your cheek, near the gum line.
- Repeat the step on the opposite side of the oral cavity.
- After sampling, reinsert the swab into the jar and close tightly until you hear a click.
How long does it take to receive the results?
On average, it takes 3 to 4 weeks for your Holifya doctor to report your test results.
How do I get my results?
You will receive the results via the email provided upon registration in your personal Holifya area.
Can the saliva sample deteriorate?
The saliva sample can potentially not deteriorate for a period of time between 7 and 12 days. However, we recommend requesting the collection of your sample within 48 hours of self-collection to ensure the excellent condition of the sample during analysis.
If the swab gets dirty, is the sample contaminated?
If the swab falls to the ground without being closed inside its jar, we recommend contacting us at support@holifya.com or calling us at 333 2022743 to explain the circumstances and decide together how to proceed.
What happens if my sample arrives at the laboratory contaminated or spoiled?
If the sample arrives contaminated and does not allow a clear analysis, you will be notified immediately. We recommend contacting us at support@holifya.com or calling us at 333 2022743 to organise together the sending of a new swab to proceed with a new sampling that ensures the excellent outcome of the analysis.

Here at holifya.com you will be guided through registering your sample and then arranging for your sample pick up.
No one came to collect my sample

Payment and shipping
Accepted payment methods
You can pay via PayPal with your own account or directly with a credit card.
Purchases within your personal area can be made by credit card via the Stripe circuit.
Shipping
Shipping is included in the cost of the selected plan and will be made within 3-4 working days of the order.
